I have no idea how I came by this old fashioned ink well, but I use it to put my watch and rings in while I do dishes. I really love it. I think it's because I like older things that can be made functional in some way today. Since I have no intention of writing with a pen that you dip in real ink, this is the best it gets. Behind it is a little marooon flower pot. I really love it too. I have no idea why I like it either but I do.
*I'm a bit bummed - I had hoped to use the superbowl party as an opportunity to take pictures of people and instead I'm stuck at home. 1 inch of snow every hour. From 4pm until midnight. Wintery mix tomorrow. Winter sucks.
